New CR book + a note about social media

I’ve been in a weird headspace for the last few years—frustrated with the economy, the political world, among other things. Having a real fuck the oligarchy kind of year. On top of that, I always have ideas running around in my head: stories, characters, big world-building, sometimes just a simple, strong plot point or twist. And it’s one of the reasons I started writing—I needed to get these things out of my head and onto paper. My Notes app has about a hundred ideas, from full start-to-finish plots to silly thought fragments like, “she’s a mechanic with blue hair.”

Anyway, what I’m getting at is that sometimes these stories press in my mind and the words just flow. That’s how this new series happened. I didn’t have some deep-seated need to write about billionaires losing all their money (though I don’t mind that one bit)—it was more like, I was frustrated one day, in a creative mood, and ended up with half a novel.

Coming off the Cursed Omega duet—which I loved writing—I was also tired. RH is a lot of work, making sure each character has their own distinct personality, and I needed a palate cleanser—something lighter on the brain, an MF romance, two POVs, contemporary setting.

I had this idea rattling around: a contemporary romance series about billionaires who gave away all their money. Which brings me to the Let It Burn series. I hope you enjoy it. The group of friends you meet in the first book will each get their own story.

To my RH friends, don’t worry—I’m in the middle of finishing two RH books right now, and always have more on the horizon. This was just a change of pace.

Also wanted to add a quick note on social media. There's something funny about being an author—everyone insists you have to be online, no exceptions. I tried. God, did I try. But everything I post feels disingenuous because I genuinely don't know how to sell myself. I can talk endlessly about books I love, favorite tropes, share memes—but that magical thing some people are so effortlessly good at? I don't have it. I was on Tome for a year before it shut down. I tried Fable for about a month. Then I deleted everything. I just can't, not right now. So—love you all—but if you need to reach me, email is the only way. Maybe someday an app will come along that feels manageable. Until then…
